Itinerary

tuscany vineyard Day 1 - Arrival
We meet at the central train station in Florence and transfer to our hotel, the Villa il Leccio (or similar), located in Strada, the middle of classic Chianti - an area of immense natural beauty and renowned for its popular wines. Enjoy a guided visit to S. Andrea vineyards and cellars. This evening savour a Tuscan welcome dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day 2 - Montalcino
No wine trip to Italy is complete without a visit to Montalcino, a walled hilltop town in the heart of Tuscany. It is a landscape of rolling hills, winding roads and acres of vineyards that produce some of Italy's most esteemed red wines like those of Altesino, renowned for Brunello di Montalcino.

Lunch today will be at the taverno Taverna Del Grappolo Blu in the historic center of Montalcino, featuring traditional Tuscan cuisine in a relaxed family setting. tuscany wine tour

Next, visit the Abbey of San Galgano and conclude with a stop at the winery Il Poggione. Founded over a century ago, this family-run vineyard has forever been associated with the world's finest Sangiovese varietals.

Day 3 - Montepulciano
This morning we leave early for Montepulciano, a renaissance town in Southern Tuscany famous for its "Nobile" wine. We will visit the world famous cellars of Poliziano in Piazza Grande. Lunch today is at the charming Restaurant Diva e Macedo.

In the afternoon we tour Fattoria Del Cerro for a tasting (Nobile di Montepulciano). We conclude the day with a stop in the charming village of Pienza.

tuscany wineryDay 4 - Greve in Chianti
Our stay in Tuscany begins with a short drive through the hilly countryside to Greve, a market town of the Chianti region. Enjoy a guided visit of the market square and a tour of the laboratory of a salumi artisan. We will visit the winery Fontodi for a private tour and tasting, with lunch at the charming Cantinetta di Rignana. After lunch, enjoy a walking tour through the Antinori vineyards.

This evening, enjoy our first private cooking lesson with a menu that includes handmade pasta. Dinner will be served with appropriate wines.

Day 5 - Impruneta and S.Casciano
Impruneta is a charming medieval town with a delightful market square. Today we'll visit the olive oil estate of La Querce for a private tasting. There will be time to leisurely explore the markets in town.

tuscany artisan cheese Our lunch this afternoon is at the cozy Villa di Roboia in San Casciano. After lunch we will visit the farm and vineyards of Corzano e Paterno in San Cascianoa. The artisan laboratory of Corzano e Paterno produces fine cheese and also a very good wine: Chianti Terre di Corzano.

This evening we will take part in our second private cooking lesson, preparing a Tuscan dinner to enjoy with our friends. Dinner again will be served with appropriate wines.

san gimiganano and monteriggioniDay 6 - San Gimignano and Monteriggioni
This morning we are off to San Gimignano, a Tuscan city composed of beautiful towers and rich in history, and declared by UNESCO to be part of the World's Architectural Heritage. We will have time to stroll around the town and visit local artists and galleries.

Late morning we will move on to the vineyards and winery of Panizzi (Chianti Classico).

Lunch today is on your own. In the afternoon there will be a visit to the winery San Donato.

Before leaving the region we will stop in Monteriggioni, a Medieval town impressively situated on a hill above the Elsa Valley. It is surrounded by a complete circuit of 13th century walls, perfectly preserved, with 14 towers. It makes for a delightful place to end our tour. Tonight we will gather for a farewell dinner.

Day 7 - Departure
Today we are up early for our departures. We will provide a group transfer to Florence
