 Burgundy is a land of stunning scenery and a culture that is intimately connected to the production of fine wine.
But Burgundy is, of course, more than just grapes and vineyards. With its stone farms and houses, cobblestone streets and sleepy villages, all connected by small paved roads through vineyards, the region seems not to have changed over the last few hundred years.
For our purposes, of course, Burgundy is most famous for its fabulous wines - the greatest of them all made with just two grapes, Chardonnay for the whites, and Pinot Noir for the reds. Two grapes, and yet a variety of tastes that seems impossible . . . until you come and visit.
Over the course of six days you will come to understand the magic of the Burgundies: the tiny "climates" where each of the great wine varieties grow. You will learn what gives them their particular character and what accounts for this region's unmistakable charm.
